At Haworth Primary School, we want our children to develop a good understanding of money and how to use it sensibly and ethically. As a result, we are involved in the MoneySense financial education programme.
This excellent resource will be used by pupils, parents and teachers. It will help to improve knowledge of money management, money safety, and money in the world. Children will be accessing a whole host of games and will visit a virtual bank to help boost their financial awareness.
The programme covers key moments in a young person’s life and gives the use of money a real life context, for example: beginning to save pocket money, opening a bank account and the difference between wants and needs. As such, children will be introduced to videos and web resources whilst also interacting with other children in their classes to talk about money in real life scenarios.
Resources can be accessed via the MoneySense website.
